Research Interests

I am a PhD student at the Institute of Education, University of London.

My studies are based in the Centre for the Economics of Education, within the Department of Quantitative Social Science.

I am due to complete my PhD in mid-2008.

My research interests are:

• choice-based secondary school admissions
• models of residential and school choice
• measuring social and ability stratification
• competition and secondary school performance

1995-1999 : Emmanuel College, Cambridge University [pt I maths; pt II economics]

1999-2002 : JPMorgan, London [Equity Research Analyst]

2002-2004 : School economics teacher and studying PT for MA in Economics of Ed

2004-2008 : FT ESRC-funded studentship for PhD in Economics of Education
